The purpose of TIDE is to bring the current lab-scale technology on surface modification of titanium into new dental products, offering robust white and aesthetic surfaces. Dental implants with a metallic lustre is highly unattractive when a restorative process is not successful in e.g. hiding the components behind the gingiva of the patient.
